Geoffrey Cotterill

Geoffrey is a Commercial and Commercial Property lawyer with 30 years of experience in all aspects of Commercial Property work including acquisitions and disposals, development and landlord and tenant work.  Having graduated in law from Pembroke College Oxford, he trained with what is now Herbert Mallam Gowers in Oxford and then spent 14 years working in-house, first with Equity & Law Life Assurance and then with Anchor Trust where he was Head of Legal Services.

Since returning to private practice in 2002, Geoffrey has continued concentrating on commercial and commercial property matters for a wide variety of clients (landlords and tenants, large and small).  He also has extensive experience in working for property developers, institutional investors, charities and public bodies in areas as diverse as renewable energy contracts, telecommunications equipment leases, business sales and general commercial contracts.  He is a member of the Commercial Real Estate Legal Association

Geoffrey lives in Chipping Norton and is married with two children.  In his spare time he investigates the heavens as an amateur astronomer and attempts to become a star as a singer in various choirs and amateur operatic groups.
