We have expertise on a broad range of employment law issues
We can offer advice from both the perspective of employers and employees. This allows us to view matters from ‘both sides of the fence’, to the benefit of the client, who will get realistic and practical advice.
While many employers will be aware that claims to employment tribunals have dropped off enormously since the Government’s introduction of fees, it would be foolish to be complacent about the prospect of such claims. The statistics show that when claims are brought, they are pursued by determined claimants, usually on a multiplicity of issues (to include several types of discrimination) and hearings can take from a week, upwards, with all the attendant expense and loss of management time.
In any event, any good employer will want to have fair and transparent dealings with their employees in the hope of avoiding such claims and simply as good management practice; for example by supporting a good employee through a well-founded grievance against a manager or a colleague, or dealing effectively with employee under-performance or ill-discipline. We can advise on both the formulation of effective and flexible policies and their implementation.
We can provide pragmatic advice and support as to the full range of employment rights. If it is the case that you are being treated unfairly by your employer, we can help you to persuade your employer of that fact and get the relationship ‘back on track’. If that is not possible, we will advise you as to your options, should you resign, be dismissed, or suffer discrimination.
The first striking thing about Everyman Legal was that the team are very affable and very human - not boring lawyers! They were warm & sincere and I felt confident from the start that they were technically excellent.
